Change is inevitable. When you think about it change works for our benefit more often than not.
When VisibleWomanOnline was launched in 2008, we had no idea just how many changes the publication would go through. From our initial conception and creation of VisibleWomanOnline’s mission we were adamant about maintaining a literary focus. However, as our audience grew and our ideas flourished during this birthing period, VisibleWomanOnline has taken on a broader role. This has been great, and we will continue to include articles on health, sexuality, aging and beauty as well as articles representative of the changes in the world which affects all women of color throughout the world.
Our new format is engaging and easy to navigate. We all have enough going on in our lives without trying to figure out how to get around a website! We are proud of our new site, the range of topics, guests and the boundless possibilities that speak to our visibility. We believe you will be too.
In keeping with our mission and our commitment to being a welcoming forum for writers, we encourage you to take the plunge in 2011 and release your inner writer by submitting your work to VisibleWomanOnline. We also remain committed to encouraging each and every one of you to speak your mind, to become--visible.
